First of all, I don't know Chinese to read and write.
I tried to adopt some portion of codes structures to modify my phpBB theme pack based on iCGstation. However, I sent my mails and PM to Ray (http://www.ioptical.com) A LOT!!!!
Unfortunately, I did not get response from Ray yet.
Do anyone know how to get his permission to adopt his template codes and structures? (images are not).

Please respond to me.

If you are using the theme for your OWN USE, there's no restriction to what you do with it. However, is there is any copyright attached to the theme (i.e. outputed to the browser or not), you have to keep it.

No, that is not what I asked.
OK, this is my story.
I downloaded iCGstation theme-pack for phpnuke not for phpbb from http://www.portedmods.com. They said, Ray (ioptional.com) allowed them to port it to phpnuke.
I have been using this theme-pack with my credit such as "ioptional.com" at the bottom of phpnuke portal. That's OK.

I made my own phpBB theme-pack from this phpnuke iCGstation theme-pack NOT DIRECTLY FROM iCGstation template of phpBB2.

While making my own first template, I found iCGstation concept is so cool. So, I adopted iCGstation concept and it's in Beta under GPL 2.0 license to let all phpBB persons use free. After making it, I found some source template structure is almost same as iCGstation template, even though I added a lot of my template code. Also, there is no same graphics except concepts. So, my conclusion is that I feel I have to put copyrighted message in my free GPL template to give my credit to Ray.

This is the reason of why I have to contact with Ray to get permission about the concept that I adopted.

I believe image is the only thing that you can't claim it your own, the rest of it should be made GPLed, hence you are free to modified and distribute the code as long as you credit the original author in your distribution (with or without notified teh author).

But, of course, it is a good practise to let him know first. So, you may contact him through PM. He might not notice this post

Yes, you're right. The images which I made are totally new ones. And I am using different filenames which affects the whole template codes.

So, after recoding all of them, I'd like to him (Ray) to check if he feels some of them are his. Otherwise, I will put my credit to respect his work in that I adopted his shaded bar concepts into my Aqua concept.

Anyhow, would you let him know I'm looking for him when you see him.

Yes, of course.
As long as I modifed your template codes, I HAVE TO keep my credit for your work.

As such modification keeps going on, probably, future template will not be similar to yours. Then, they are different ones.

However, as I mentioned above, as long as I am working on your codes, I absolutely keep the words.

This is my the first work (sorry I did not put the credit words, this is totally tenative one so don't worry about it) which you can look at. Or you and I declare it to phpBB.com as either of clones or new one, depending on how I recoded it. Just look at the first look of the template.

This aquabrown template based on your iCGstation template codes in large part. But the future second template will have none of your template. However, I will keep readme file to mention these series of Aqua template stem from your iCGstation template.
